Objective 1

Preparation of undoped and doped ZnS/CuInS2 (ZnS/CIS) core/shell nano-particle by ultrasound-assisted method. (continued from 2016).

Activities:
  • Synthesis of undoped ZnS/CIS core/shell nano-particle.
  • Tuning the PL emission by variation of the shell thickness.
  • Studies on the doping effect on ZnS/CIS core/shell nano-particle using different ions (Mn and/or Cu and/or Ag and/or Eu and/or Ce).
  • General characterization of ZnS/CIS using FT-IR, SEM/TEM, BET, ICP-OES and PSD.
  • PL characterization of ZnS/CIS materials.
  • Structural characterization of ZnS/CIS materials.

Objective 2

Systematization of original results. (continued from 2016).

Activities:
  • Comparative studies of luminescence characterization of core/shell materials.

Objective 3

Preparation and characterization of ZnS and CIS based core/multishell materials by ultrasound-assisted method.

Activities:
  • Synthesis of core/multishell ZnS/CIS with three and/or four shells.
  • Characterization by photoluminescence spectroscopy of core/multishell materials.
  • Morpho-structural characterization of core/multishell materials.

Objective 4

Elucidation of some physic-chemical aspects concerning the formation of core/multishell materials.

Activities:
  • Correlation between composition - structure - particle size - PL properties.

Objective 5

Increasing the national and international scientific visibility.
